Chain stitch

This is a really simple stitch so it's super easy to do! Let’s not let beautiful items go to waste because of tiny little defects.

Instructions:

  • Start by bringing your thread through the fabric from the back, close to the edge of the hole.

  • Then reinsert it a few mm to one side, and bring your needle back up through the hole to catch the stitch before it's fully pulled through.

  • Continue all the way around the hole and then repeat all around, this time catching the previous stiches instead of the fabric.

  • Continue until the hole is filled in and then tie off on the reverse.
