How do swaps work?

How to place a swap

To place a swap:

  1. Log into your account

  2. Choose clothes and select the items you would like to return

  3. Place your order, and we'll send your new clothes to you, along with a reusable bag and a return label for sending back the old items.

  4. Check you're happy with the fit and style of your new items.

  5. Simply pop all the items you wish to return into the packaging your order arrived in, attach the return label, and send them back to us.

  6. Retain your proof of postage until you receive a thelittleloop notification stating the clothes have reached us.

It's that easy! We kindly request that you return your old clothes within 2 weeks from the date your order arrives, so we can pass them on to another heroic family.

How often can I swap the clothes?

Enjoy unlimited swaps with an active membership at thelittleloop! Swap the clothes anytime you like, whether it's for a growth spurt or to adapt to changing seasons, or just fancied an update. Many members swap approximately every 3 months. You only need to cover the postage costs, and guess what? Your first set of postage is completely free!

What happens if I don't return my old clothes?

If items are not returned and your new credit total exceeds the amount covered by your subscription we reserve the right to increase your subscription to cover the credit value of the items in your possession. We will always notify you before doing this.

If items are not returned but you remain within the credit total of your subscription we will simply cancel your return notification so that you can keep the clothes until your next swap.

What happens if something doesn't fit?

We recommend trying on the new items before you pop your return into the post. That way, if something in your new order doesn’t fit you can return it at the same time as your old items, using the same shipping label. If you do this PLEASE CONTACT US to let us know that there will be an additional item in your return. We will process it as quickly as possible to enable you to order a replacement.

Does it cost to swap more?

We have based our pricing on customers swapping about every 3 months. Which means if you swap more frequently we actually make a small loss. But we wanted to allow people to swap more frequently if they need to e.g for a special occasion, holiday, or unexpected growth spurt - which is why we’ve not limited swaps to one every 3 months like some services do. We will only ask you to pay for the cost of postage for your swaps.

How do returns work?

To place a return go to your account and select each item you would like to return.

If this is part of a swap, and you have placed a new rental order, there is nothing further to do. You will find a return label enclosed in your parcel. Just pop the items into the bag your order arrives in, stick the label on the front, and take them to your nearest Post Office. You can also click here to book a parcel collection.

If you are pausing or cancelling, or have not placed a new order for any other reason, then when you place your return an automated email will be sent with a link to our Royal Mail portal. Just follow the instructions to create a label or a QR code, and book a collection, to return your items to us.

Still not sure how to swap, complete your first order, or make a return? No worries, please just shoot us a message and we’ll be happy to help.
